The loading and unloading of the kiln is done, in most cases, at very high temperatures! Whether you are at the beginning of the road in metal clay jewelry or you may not have the necessary space for a kiln at home, you can call us at any time for the firing service at Studio Artkimia.

The service includes one firing in the big kiln Prometheus PRO7. For the displayed price, the maximum for normal combustion is 9 pieces (piece size reference - ring). A single burn can last up to 7 hours. If the combustion is done using activated carbon, the Complete Combustion option will be chosen, but you can choose to bring your own carbon and/or container!

For Mokume Gane or mixed metal firings, the pieces will be left to cool overnight. The container can fit up to 6 pieces (piece size reference - ring)

We recommend maximum attention when making parts from non-precious metals or metal mixes, which require burning in 2 stages and in activated carbon! In most of the cases when the pieces come out torn or cracked after firing, the fault is due to micro-cracks created during the making, incomplete drying, finishing or incomplete repairs of the pieces in the dry stage, etc. To avoid deformation or even destruction of the pieces during firing, we recommend using fresh or well rehydrated clay. Also, avoid using lubricants as much as possible when working with base metals or mixed metals.

If you have never worked with precious metal clays, we recommend that you attend one of the our courses. Don't forget that we also offer Practice Workshops! This way you can create the pieces in Studio Artkimia under the guidance of an instructor.

Before burning, you can ask the instructor to check the parts so that, if necessary, he will recommend the necessary repairs or covering cracks, etc. We do not assume responsibility for parts that come out broken or broken, after proper combustion. If the combustion has failed due to malfunctions of our ovens, you will receive twice the weight of the clay used for the parts created and the reimbursement of the combustion service.

After burning the parts, you can also ask for the finishing service with needles (magnetic) or in a rotating drum. This service will delay the return of parts by one to two days.
