Art Clay copper can be burned in an electric furnace with or without the use of carbon or even with burner for 30 minutes, resulting in parts with a purity greater than 99,5% copper. After burning it is necessary to use a deoxidation solutions because copper oxidizes a lot.
Firing in 2 stages:
- In the first stage, put the pieces to burn, in the oven at room temperature, and raise to 450 ° C and keep for 2 minutes.
- Once the program is finished, cool the pieces and put them buried in a container with activated carbon (3cm carbon - the pieces - covered with carbon up to the top)
- Put the container in the cold oven and raise it to 900 ° C - 970 ° C and keep it at this temperature for at least 2 hours.

- Contraction: 8-10%
- Combustion temperature: 970 ° for a minimum of 1 hour (one carbon-free combustion)
