Goldie Snow Bronze ™ - 100 gr
Goldie Snow Bronze™ is a white bronze clay. The particles are a bit larger than other bronzers, up to 75 micrometers, so we can find it a bit grainy after mixing with water. White bronzes with more than 18% tin are brittle and break easily. Snow Bronze is different, despite the high tin content (21%), it is not easy to break, due to the large powder particles, which are very tightly bound together after firing. The material is smooth after firing, without traces of particles.
Goldie Snow Bronze™ is an ecological product. It contains about 79% copper and 21% tin. The binders are organic and non-toxic.
Goldie Snow Bronze™ shrinks approximately 16%-30% when fired, depending on the shape and size of the part and the firing temperature.
This clay has a very fine texture and therefore it is advisable to use a rather deep texture because it prints better than the superficial textures.
Shake the envelope well before opening to ensure a uniform mixture of metal powder and binder.
● Mix the powder very well in the original container to ensure a homogeneous mix, and then place the desired amount in a smaller container.
● Add a few drops of water or spray a little water and mix with a spoon or knife, adding water as needed, until a clay of plasticine consistency is obtained.
● Roll the clay block in the form of a thin sheet and fold it. Roll again, from the fold to the edge. Repeat the action several times to confirm that any traces of air are removed from the clay to obtain a smooth and consistent surface before use. Put in a plastic bag or container and wait 30 minutes.Note: We recommend the use of demineralized or distilled water for mixing or rehydrating clay.
FOR PROCESSING
● To combine items, mix a little powder with water to make a paste. The elements can be linked with the method that uses only water in the same way as for silver clay.
● The parts can be left to dry naturally, they can be put in a dehydrator or on a hob. Dry at 90 ° C or below. Higher temperatures than this can cause cracks or if steam appears, they can create air bubbles in the material.
● Remember to clean the tools very well when changing from one type of clay to another to prevent cross-contamination, unless you deliberately want to mix the clays.
● The clay must be completely dry before burning. Any trace of water will boil and then damage the piece.
● Place the parts in a steel container stainless steel on a layer of activated carbon at least 1 cm deep. The distance between the parts must be at least 1 cm. container open it is put in the cold oven and burns in the maximum ramp at the following temperatures:
● A full ramp burn is performed at the following temperature:
2. It is recommended to burn in a well ventilated place or under a kitchen hood.
3. Use gloves and goggles, oven pliers and loading shovel.
4. Place the hot parts on thermally insulated surfaces
