Enamel is a great way to add color to your jewelry. The Deluxe kit includes everything from enamels to finishing tools and the kiln. This kit has all the basic tools you will need to create enameled jewelry. Artkimia – Deluxe enameling kit allows you to save money and time in a single easy purchase and chosen by our instructors.
The emails selected for this kit are among the most appreciated in the world. These enamels fuse at temperatures between 760 - 900 °C and are perfect for most enameling techniques. The Cloisonné wire included in the kit has a size that lends itself both to the creation of small and large jewelry. The silver and gold foils are special to be applied on enamel. Thus you can create copper jewelry with a shiny silver or gold base. Glass sticks adhere to the surface of the enamel and thus interesting projects can be created.
Klyr yarn adhesive, included, is a professional one, leaves no marks and does not affect the clarity of the enamel after burning. Our recommendation is to use it in the proportion of 1 to 4 (one part adhesive to 4 parts distilled water). The oxidation protection solution is ideal for application on copper, to inhibit oxidation during combustion. It is used at the first firing where the application of the counter-enamel is done on one side and on the other the solution is applied and left to dry. After burning, it comes off very easily. The abrasive stone with aluminum oxide (alundum) is the most suitable for removing enamel from the edges of the piece. It is used only under running water. It is not recommended to use it on the enamel surface, for this you will use the Diagrit diamond sheet. And it is used only under running water.
The set of diamond cutters is indispensable in a jeweler's kit. In enamelling they can be used to clean certain unwanted areas, but especially to create spectacular semi-transparent effects, such as: clouds, smoke, veils, cloths and others.
The enamel is applied in several layers and it is good to make sure that they are clean, without grease or oxides. The role of the fiberglass brush is to clean the surface of the enamel very well before application. It is recommended to use under running water. We also recommend wearing gloves when using it. Powder screens will help you powder the base coat and counter-enamel or techniques like Sgrafitto, print a texture in the enamel, and more. The set of 7 sites for enamel straining are ideal for straining the enamel to the exact granulation, whether you want to paint or you need maximum clarity.
Before applying the enamel, the parts must be extremely clean and degreased. PreNamel is a powder that impeccably cleans the metal. Applied on an abrasive dish sponge (ScotchBrite green) soaked in warm water, rub the pieces well. Ideally, you should wear a (surgical) glove on the hand that holds the piece, to keep the piece clean. ClearNamel, on the other hand, has the role of removing air bubbles from the enamel but also as a surfactant. Apply in water enamel.
The combustion supports are made of stainless steel and their role is to keep the piece straight in the oven without touching the enamelled areas. We recommend cleaning them between burns, to avoid oxide contamination of the enamel during burning. They are cleaned by rubbing them with a file and / or an old brush, after which they are washed and dried. Included in the kit are 6 (pure) copper blanks perfect for creating your first enameled jewelry.
The Prometheus PRO1 PRG oven included in the kit is the most suitable for your email projects. To protect it from enamel dust that may fall into the oven, we recommend using a small sheet of paper on the steel combustion support (pro1) on which to place the support with the piece. It is important to protect yourself when removing the parts from the oven and the shovel is the most suitable. You can place the hot parts on the cooling surface included in the kit. When we open the oven, our eyes are exposed to incandescent light. To protect them, you will use the goggles included in the kit.
To obtain an impeccable gloss, the mirror, the Diamond - Eve Policloth canvases are the most suitable to polish both the enamelled area and the metal. It is recommended to use, under running water.
